The monegasque scientific center (« Centre Scientifique de Monaco, CSM ») is a public establishment founded by Prince Rainier III in 1960 to provide the Principality of Monaco with the means to conduct scientifics research.
The main activities of CSM are focused on marine biology research and the support of international and governmental activities related to the protection and preservation of marine ecosystems. Since 2009, the CSM has also develop a biomedical research department in collaboration with the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis.
MonacoTech is the startup Center of Excellence co-founded by the Principality of Monaco, Monaco Telecom and Xavier Niel. The missions of the Monegasque incubator are focused on providing help to companies and innovative projects with strong growth potential business to get settled in the Principality, in accordance with strategic development of Monaco.
Means employed by MonacoTech enable startups of the program to take full advantage of the Monegasque ecosystem for their successful development by providing access to entrepreneurial skills, pro-entrepreneur environment, administrative support, a large professional network, and other essential services.
Monaco Economic Board
MONACO ECONOMIC BOARD (MEB) is responsible for promoting the Principality’s economy and plays an active role in its development. Established as an association in 1999, MEB is the Monaco Government’s operational arm, and its priority is to provide services to the 500 Monaco companies who have chosen to become members. The MEB is structured around two departments:
> MONACO CHAMBER OF COMMERCE supports the development of Monaco companies on a local and international level, organizing activities and offering them a range of services.
> INVEST MONACO seeks and supports foreign business organizations and individuals wishing to set up in the Principality. This department targets entities and / or individuals that will settle in Monaco for personal or professional reasons.
As a member of the ICC (International Chamber of Commerce), the MEB is also the Monegasque National Committee within this global organisation. With members drawn from companies, professional bodies and State institutions, the MEB Board represents all economic stakeholders in the Principality.
