« The Coral Physiology and Biochemistry team of the Monaco Scientific Center (CSM), led by Dr. Sylvie Tambutté, has been interested for many years in proteins with diverse roles, in particular in the growth and biomineralization processes of corals. The study of the functions and structure of these molecules is of fundamental importance to understand all these biological characteristics. To carry out these investigations, large quantities of proteins are required, coupled with a high level of purity.

After a successful Research & Development phase, this technological challenge is about to be taken up by Coraliotech team which has just acquired a high-performance bioreactor system allowing both a scale-up of production and a significant increase in yield. Coraliotech hopes to be able to rapidly deliver the quantities of coral proteins needed for the scientific studies in progress. »
